						<p>PORTLAND, Ore. - On Monday, February 27th, Chris Forney, a University of Oregon alumnus and senior sustainability advisor at Brightworks, will teach a day-long workshop titled Green Building Planning and Operations Strategies. Presented by the University of Oregon&#8217;s Sustainability Leadership Program and hosted at the University of Oregon in Portland&#8217;s White Stag Block, the workshop will explore the business case...</p>
					
				
				<p>PORTLAND, Ore. - On Monday, February 27th, Chris Forney, a University of Oregon alumnus and senior sustainability advisor at Brightworks, will teach a day-long workshop titled Green Building Planning and Operations Strategies.  Presented by the University of Oregon&#8217;s Sustainability Leadership Program and hosted at the University of Oregon in Portland&#8217;s White Stag Block, the workshop will explore the business case and environmental rationale for building sustainable buildings and operating facilities sustainably.</p>

<p>The workshop provides practitioners with a theoretical foundation for leading organizations, communities, and individuals to develop sustainable living and working environments.  It will also address practical strategies for maintaining the performance of sustainable buildings and integrating sustainable operational practices into existing buildings not originally constructed under a green framework.  The workshop will include a tour of the historic, LEED Gold-certified White Stag Block.</p>

<p>Forney has been a senior sustainability advisor at Brightworks for six years.  Founded in 2001, Brightworks helps organizations align their operations with principles of ecological, social, and economic sustainability.  The firm partners with the world&#8217;s foremost corporations, government entities, and institutions to deliver transformative solutions in three lines of business: Enterprise Sustainability Solutions, Built Environment Sustainability Solutions, and Sustainability Education.</p>
